Abstract |
Cites recommendations from the WHO's State of the World's Nursing (SOWN) 2020 report that countries invest in local production of nurses, nursing data and management, nursing leadership, nursing education and the regulation of nurses. Argues that NZ must address inequity in Maori health outcomes through growth of its Maori nursing workforce and Maori nursing leadership capacity and capability. |

Abstract |
Promotes the use of the SOAP(IE) framework for nursing documentation. Conducts action research to identify areas within cycles of planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection in need of improvement. Undertakes three cycles of action research using audits, surveys and a focus group interview with RNs in two DHB medical wards. Increases the uptake of SOAP through education sessions and tools, and nurse champions. |

Uses an integrative literature review methodology to retrieve 16 studies relating to student learning from simulation. Identifies a shift in focus from technical to soft skill acquisition. |

Abstract |
Explores the impact of simulation education on nurses' perception and experiences of raising the option of tissue donation with families of deceased patients in an intensive care unit. Conducts semi-structured interviews with 5 of 21 nurses participating in simulated education sessions involving family conversations about donation. Identifies four themes: rehearsal, confidence, nurse-family relationship, and sharing. |

Describes the demographics, distribution, clinical settings and employment arrangements of the NZ nurse practitioner (NP) workforce in primary healthcare settings, and organisational factors limiting their practice.
