Undertakes a thematic analysis of the auto-ethnographic narrative, producing four emergent themes: being the mother; being a nurse; who is supporting us?; and desperately seeking knowledge.

Receives 91 responses to a mixed-method survey. Identifies significant themes that emerged from thematic analysis: supervisor support, emotional labour, workload and staffing relations.
