Audits IPC management plans in NZ District Health Boards (DHB) to evaluate which clinical governance factors facilitate or hinder IPC best practice. Employs a mixed-method, exploratory, qualitative study design to conduct semi-structured interviews with ten IPC nurses across NZ. Seeks to understand their perceptions of the IPC Standard, how it is implemented in their DHB, how the IPC risks are managed, and which barriers hinder IPC engagement.
