Explores the experiences of six participants who had undergone one or more of these crises, and analyses the experiences using Braun and Clarke's thematic analysis. Highlights that emergency nurses are the primary targets of abuse and confirms the effect it has on retention. |

Captures data from 2014-2020,including staff members' professional group, gender, category of V&A (e.g. verbal or physical abuse or threat, and physical or sexual assault), date and location of incident, and the individual who committed the violence. |
