Assesses the experiences of registered nurses (RNs)working in aged residential care facilities in Christchurch, in performing interRAI assessments using interRAI MOMENTUM software. Explores the positive and negative aspects of their experiences and the factors affecting performance of interRAI-based comprehensive health assessments. Identifies the aids and barriers faced by RNs in applying and using interRAI. Conducts focus-group interviews with 7 RNs. Highlights the need for a unified standard assessment system. |

Highlights the impact of the intersection of socially-constructed identities such as race, gender, and class, on nurses' ability to develop as leaders. Aims to learn how to create a culture of nursing leadership by explaining the impact of intersectionality on the empowerment and development of nurses into leadership roles. Designs a mixed-methods, explanatory, sequential research study in two phases, comprising an online questionnaire and 31 semi-structured interviews with nurses and managers. |

Abstract |
Develops a daily measure of job satisfaction in the operating room (OR) setting in the form of a tool called the Morale-o-Meter. Trials and evaluates the tool between 2018-2019, inviting all OR staff to participate using the tool to measure their job satisfaction once each shift. Follows up the trial with an online feedback survey. Proves that overall job satisfaction is positively related to daily job satisfaction and affective commitment, and negatively related to emotional exhaustion. Suggests the Morale-o-Meter has the potential to increase the voice of OR nurses. |

Correlates reduced social networks, depression, physical disability, and functional dependence with loneliness in long-term care facilities in NZ. Uses a correlational research design and a convenience sample of 36 older peopl,e with a mean age of 81, from four long-term care facilities in a metropolitan city, to assess functional independence, perceived health and well-being, depression, and levels of loneliness. Suggests that nurses working in such settings should consider and assess loneliness in their care plans for older people. |
